Did you know there are real caves near us in the Midwest?! Check out photos from Ms. Havlicek's cave adventure last year at the "Cave of the Mounds" in Wisconsin.
Challenge:
CHOICE A: Create a chalk drawing outside! You decide the subject....Think of how the cave artists would get inspired by the animals and people around them. Gather inspiration from your surroundings. No chalk at home? Take your regular art supplies outside and create a drawing inspired by nature and what's around you!
CHOICE B: Create a cave environment that includes art! What sculpture materials can you find around your house to build in 3D with? What areas around your house are similar to a cave environment? (For example, I could tape a drawing paper underneath the bottom of my dining room table to mimic cave-like drawing situations)
