Challenge:

CHOICE A: Create a DIGITAL pixel artwork. Practice creating a pixel style artwork using this free pixel builder website: https://www.pixilart.com/

...To Start:

1) Click on "Start Drawing" (You do NOT need to create an account to use this website)

2) Under the "New Drawing" box that pops up, I suggest changing the width box to 8 and the height box to 8 to start and get the hang of drawing with pixels. You can always do more practices that get larger, such as 16 x 16 pixels or 32 x 32 pixels (Multiples of 8...Hey look, MATH in ART CLASS :)

3) Once your "canvas" shows up...You can use the tools on the left side and color chooser on the right to create an image....(You decide the subject....Think of your favorite foods, games, shows, books, nature etc. for inspiration!)

TOOLS:

Draw Pixels: PENCIL TOOL

Fill Areas: Select Color & BUCKET TOOL

Subtract Shape: ERASER TOOL

Select color tints & shades: Double click on a color and select colors more to the white (tint) or more to the black (shade)

4) TO SAVE: Click "File" on top left and then "Download"...A box will appear...Press "download" again. This should download your art to your computer. Because it is a small amount of pixels for the size, you may have to zoom in A LOT to see it :)

CHOICE B: Create a pixel art style work using drawing or found objects around your house. How can you make an object look "pixelated" by using just squares and straight lines? (You decide the subject....Think of your favorite foods, games, shows, books, nature etc. for inspiration!)
